MoneyCalcs UK is a free, independent UK website providing calculators for tax, work and family money questions. There are no user accounts and nothing to buy.

Details of the website operator responsible for this site will be published on this page, together with a contact route for data-protection enquiries.

This website has no user accounts and no visitor tracking. The only personal information we hold is an email address, and only where you have chosen to give us one by joining our free tax deadline reminders list or registering interest in a future paid service. Otherwise the only information involved is the technical information created by serving a web page:

• Technical information — your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and your browser and device information, handled by our hosting and infrastructure providers as part of delivering and securing the site.
• Preferences held in your browser — your cookie preference, once you set one, and a scroll-position entry used so returning to a previous page restores your place. Both stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
• An email address you give us — if you join the tax deadline reminders list, or register interest in a future paid MoneyCalcs service, we store your email address, the date and time you signed up, the page you signed up from and what you consented to.
• Anything you choose to send us — if you contact us, we receive whatever you include in your message.

We do not ask for, and do not want, tax reference numbers, National Insurance numbers, bank details or medical information.

Calculator figures you enter are processed in your browser to produce the calculation and are not submitted to MoneyCalcs UK. There is no server-side calculation, no saving of results and no analytics recording what you type.

Some calculators offer a link that carries a figure across to a related calculator so you do not have to type it again. That figure appears in the page address while you are on the site. As with any web address, if such a link is reloaded or shared, the address itself is included in ordinary hosting request logs. Nothing else about your calculation is transmitted.

Printing or saving a result uses your browser's own print function. The document is produced on your device and is not sent to us.

• To deliver the website and its pages to you.
• To keep the site secure, available and free from abuse.
• To diagnose technical problems and errors.
• To remember your privacy or cookie preference, where you have set one.
• To respond to an enquiry you send us.
• To send you the free HMRC and tax deadline reminders you asked for, and — only if you separately agreed to it — occasional emails about new MoneyCalcs UK calculators and guides.
• To gauge how many people would be interested in a possible future paid MoneyCalcs service.

Information is not used for profiling or advertising targeting, and is never sold or rented to advertisers or any other third party. Email addresses are used only for the reminders you asked for and, where separately agreed, occasional MoneyCalcs UK updates.

• Legitimate interests — operating, maintaining and securing the website, including the technical information in server logs.
• Steps taken at your request — dealing with an enquiry you have chosen to send.
• Consent — sending the tax and business deadline reminders you signed up for, any optional marketing emails, and any optional technology that legally requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time, either by using the unsubscribe link in a reminder email once emails begin or by emailing us to be removed, and we will stop using your address and delete the record.

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the website: hosting and infrastructure providers who serve the site and keep it available, the platform that hosts our database of email subscribers, and the email delivery provider used to send reminders. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell or rent email addresses.

There is no advertising network, no analytics provider and no third-party embedded service on this website. Advertising cookies, including Google AdSense, are not installed on this site.

We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

Hosting and infrastructure providers typically operate globally distributed networks, so technical information such as server log data may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, providers are required to protect it under recognised safeguards, such as the UK's approved transfer mechanisms.

Once the hosting arrangements for launch are finalised, this section will name the relevant provider and location.

Technical information in hosting and security logs is kept only for as long as the relevant provider retains it for operational and security purposes, and is not copied into any separate records by us.

Because this website does not yet operate a contact channel, no enquiry records exist. A retention period for enquiries will be published here alongside the contact address.

There is no database of visitors, results or calculator inputs to retain. Email addresses on the reminders list are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, after which the record is removed or anonymised. Interest registrations for a possible future paid service are kept only for as long as we are assessing that idea.

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data about you. Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis involved, these can include:

• access to the personal data held about you
• correction of inaccurate data
• erasure of data in certain circumstances
• restriction of processing
• objection to processing based on legitimate interests
• portability, where processing is based on consent or a contract
• withdrawal of consent at any time, where consent is the basis

These rights are not absolute and do not all apply in every case. In practice, because this site keeps no visitor records of its own, there is usually little or no personal data for us to act on beyond an enquiry you have sent.
